Not Dead Yet: Smoking Ban Passes

Senate Bill 77, given up for dead the day before, was revived today when Sens. Curtis Bramble, R-Provo, and Chris Buttars, R-West Jordan, changed their votes. The bill, which would prohibit smoking in private clubs and taverns, is staunchly opposed by bar owners. Why? Who knows. All the available evidence suggests business goes up when smoking goes down.
