Idaho Rivers United Dishes Landscape Grants

Idaho Rivers United recently announced winners of $10,600 in grants for water-saving landscaping in the Treasure Valley. Relandscaping should be underway for the recipient lawns of nine individual grants of up to $1,500 that were awarded to homeowners, small businesses or non-profit organizations with lawns that wish to relandscape their yards in order to reduce water consumption by fifty percent or more. he 2005 program turned sad results with expensive, high visibility homes producing unattractive reed-and-rock gardens in the middle of an Idaho Bluegrass lawn. Let’s see if the 2006 winners can do better.
