Charles Watterson "Charles Watterson" by Nick Woolley. This memorial in the desert is for a county road worker who was driving a grader down the San Rafael Desert Road (Robber's Roost) back in 1998 when he was ambushed and shot by a man hiding near the road. He was dragged about 60 feet off the road and what little money he had was stolen.
