Remember when panty raids were funny? They aren’t funny anymore.
“It just really creeps me out,” said one student from BYU Idaho in Rexburg after hearing 41-year-old Brett Cooper was arrested by Rexburg police for suspicion of theft of women’s underwear.
On Wednesday night, a resident at Colonial House Apartments called police to report a suspicious man was milling about the apartments’ laundry room.
“Any time a girl would go into the laundry room, the lights would be out and that male would flee the scene,” reported WRCB in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Rexburg police arrived on the scene and “found several women’s panties in his pants pockets and inside his pants.”
Police then searched Cooper’s Rigby home and his car and allegedly found more than 240 pairs of women’s unmentionables, supposedly mostly college students’, that they believe he’s been taking over the course of at least a month. Police charged him with burglary and possession of stolen property.
