Speaking of the corporate crackdown on independent media, check out the battle over the site, Delocator.

The site is a way to access independent, non-corporate cafe’s, but the isn’t where the controversy lies. Originally Delocator was called StarbucksDelocator.com and the group running the site, pulled the Starbucks moniker from the domain name after that Starbucks would bring out the legal muscle.

This pull back, shows just how vulnerable the independent media can be when posed with the threat of legal action from large corporations that are willing to pump tons of money into legal actions.
